Got a question about ICC Profiles or colour management?

Malformed profiles - version-unknown.icc

An ICC profile should conform to the version number of the specification that is given in the profile header. Older ICC.1 profiles are 2.x, more recent profiles are 4.x, and ICC.2 profiles are 5.x (where x is the minor revision number). The version number informs the CMM what tags are expected to be present. If the tags needed by the CMM to process the profile are present, an incorrect version number can be ignored. Tags that are present in the profile but are not defined in the particular ICC version can be considered as private tags.

The profile version-unknown.icc has 6 in the version number field, which does not exist.

This profile can be used to test that a CMM or application can handle an unknown version number.
