Workflow test for v4 ICC profiles

Ghent Work Group Process Control subcommittee have previously recommended restricting ICC profiles in PDF/X to those made to the older v2 specification.

GWG are currently testing the use of v4 profiles in real world PDF/X-4 workflows, and invite participation.

The following test patches have been provided:

GWG20.0: PDF/X-4 with DeviceCMYK image and V4 profile as Output Intent
GWG20.1: PDF/X-4 with CMYK Image with V2 profile and V4 profile as OI
GWG20.2: PDF/X-4 with CMYK image with V4 profile and V4 profile as OI
GWG20.3: PDF/X-4 with RGB Image with V2 profile and V4 profile as OI
GWG20.4: PDF/X-4 with RGB image with V4 profile and V4 profile as OI
GWG20.5: PDF/X-4 with CMYK image with V4 profile and V2 profile as OI
GWG20.6: PDF/X-4 with RGB image with V4 profile and V2 profile as OI

These PDFs can be downloaded as ZIP archive (17.9 MB) from here.

Please process these PDFs with as many PDF viewers, color servers and output systems as possible. The more results (positive and negative) we get, the better decision GWG will be able to make.

Please send your results (can be screenshots or pictures of the output taken with you cell phone) to GWG. (Please also let GWG know when if your tests are successful!)

NB: Do NOT combine these patches into one PDF nor impose them on one single flat. They must be processed one by one!
